Eugène Lacroix: Eugène Lacroix is a German chef (Altdorf 1886 - Frankfurt 1964). Son of restaurateurs from Heidelberg, he was apprenticed to a cook of Napoleon III (*).
He settled in Strasbourg, where his fame grew, but had to leave the city in 1918 and settled in Frankfurt.
He created a preparation of foie gras in a crust and clear turtle soup.
