Justus von Liebig
Liebig (Justus, Baron von): Baron Justus Liebig is a German chemist (Darmstadt 1803 - Munich 1873). Professor of chemistry, he was interested in the agricultural and industrial applications of organic chemistry (title of his main work published in 1840 He teamed up with a German engineer to extract various extracts from the meats produced in abundance in America: concentrates, broth tablets, (Viandox), dehydrated soups, etc.
