Durand (restaurant): The Durand restaurant was a famous restaurant on the Place de la Madeleine in the 8th arrondissement in Paris. It has now disappeared and in the 1860s it was “the third marvel in the art of living well” (after Café Riche and Café Hardy, according to A. Luchet).
Writers and politicians had their habits there, notably Boulanger, France, Zola (he wrote J'accuse there).
