Arcimboldo (Giuseppe) : Arcimboldo ou Arcimboldus (1527 Milan, Italie - 1593 idem) est un peintre maniériste, célèbre comme auteur de nombreux portraits caricaturaux (appelés en italien ghiribizzi), suggérés par juxtaposition des végétaux, des fruits, des légumes (les tableaux sont organisés en saison), des animaux ou des objets astucieusement disposés.
Van Gogh s’en est inspiré pour faire notamment son vieillard....
